Ooh, what are you into re. Severance and Star Trek?

oooh I’m not caught up on Severance yet but I’m obsessed! I just haven’t been involved in the fandom much yet to avoid spoilers 🙏🏻 I’ve been watching it with my parents over facetime since we live like 3,000mi away from each other and watch shows together every Friday night! But they can only do 1 ep a week, and we got started on s2 a few weeks late 😩 I’m dying I want to know what happens so badly haha. But we just did S02E08 this past Friday, so we’re getting there!

For Trek, I actually got into it in the last year or two and I love it so much! Re: what I’ve gotten through so far — All of TNG, almost all of TOS, about halfway through DS9, and all of Lower Decks! I have really loved all of it tbh, but Data, Odo, and Kira are my fav characters!

I’ve done a few pieces of Trek art and a portrait of Gemma from Severance so far — I’m trying to determine how I want to share all my work on Dreamwidth re: to put on my journal or onto communities directly, and if the latter, I need to find if there are any active communities to share to 😅

Whoops, forgot to reply to this! I'm almost caught up with Severance myself; it's a show I've been watching over Hyperbeam with my long-distance partner, we started last year and have been slowly plodding on.

I've been behind as sey've not been in the mood for something so intense since around s2 ep6, but I've been watching on by myself and am almost done with s2. Think I only have the finale left aaaa

Trek - oooh quality. My favourite overall is DS9 so far - I watched it first run on tv as a kid, I am a little older that you, and rewatched more recently to find it still held up - but I've also enjoyed TNG, and what I've seen of Lower Decks and Prodigy. My faves include Sisko, Dax, Data and Boimler.

Not sure about active fanart communities! I subscribe to https://tv-talk.dreamwidth.org/ which is fairly active and I think they accept fanart, fic etc? Since all the fandoms you mentioned are mainly TV focused.

No worries at all, I'm also behind on replying! I hope you've been enjoying Severance/enjoyed the finale if you've finished it - I've got one more episode left and I can't wait to see how this season ends!

But yesss DS9 is so good! I want to finish it so badly, but I've been watching it with my platonic partner and our schedules don't line up to watch TV together much, especially now that we've both been spending a few hours a day studying Spanish 💔 I really hope we can get back to it soon, because I don't want to skip ahead of them but I miss it! Those are some very good favs though aaa!!
