And um, clothing is only relevant to Approximately Everything, like gender and cultural exchange and views on obscenity and sex and what materials were available and what shapes were convenient for various kinds of work and subcultural signaling and weather and the entire economy?? I mostly only do this analysis on clothing from constructed worlds, but the scholars who provide the raw material for the constructed worlds are... people who study historical clothing. And especially people who get excited about it. Which I think I might have, just, on accident.
