The German and Austrian productions do have a tendency to end up on DVD more often (plus language barrier is a bit less), and I enjoy watching both - I just mostly don't write fic or spend too much time obsessing over them... except, funnily enough that Elisabeth with Máté as Death. It's wild how different he is in that compared to his Austrian-directed Death!
