Hey! Nice to meet you. I'm the exact same with with being a latecomer to fandoms and agree with you that sometimes things cooling down can be a big benefit to fandom enjoyment. You also get the fun of looking through all the history to see what went down way back when. People sure do theorize interesting things without the full story. Sometimes I even wish their theories came true, haha.
Kingdom Heartttsss. Are you ready for KHIII? I'm so ecstatic to have all our main characters finally meeting one another, and the knowledge that my fave Roxas is vital to the plot is making me oh, so nervous but also very happy. (And I know it's a shot in the dark, but I have my fingers crossed that we get to play as Kairi, if only for a small section. She looks so cool in her new render. I want to see that fancy keyblade in action.)
And... yeah, haha. Homestuck is indeed a convoluted, complicated thing, much like Kingdom Hearts, but that's one of the reasons I love it so. 😅 Lots of characters and plot threads and alternate timelines to go abound. But that can be part of the fun!
