I am Not Very Good at gaming, lol, so I tend to do all the side quests so that I can be really overleveled for the main quest and not get really anxious and frustrated over it. But I love it for the more-time-in-first-playthrough aspect too, haha :D

It's a steampunk-themed campaign, and theherocomplex is an incredibly creative person and decided to try for an automaton cleric...who is the soul of a ten-year-old girl who was transplanted into the automaton body to protect her from a deadly disease. She's so excited to be here, guys! The other three members of the party have basically adopted her, because she is a literal child even though she's also 300 years old, and they really enjoy encouraging her when she obliterates someone with some OP cleric spell ("I encourage violence!")

Speaking of Critical Role, I am spoiled for The Big Thing At The End re: Vax in season 1, and Poor Mollymauk in season 2, but that's pretty much it, somehow. Apparently my blocking of the "cr spoilers" tag on tumblr has been helpful ;P
